school support services

PD Training for Teachers and Para-educators

FMBT offers Group Professional Development Training for general and special education teachers, as well as paraeducators. Our trainings focus on strengthening classroom organization, instructional control, and effective strategies to promote student compliance, on-task behavior, skill development, and positive peer interactions.

School-Wide Behavior Intervention

FMBT offers school-wide behavior intervention services designed to help schools implement proactive behavioral and environmental supports across the entire student body. This service is ideal for schools seeking to strengthen discipline systems by introducing a School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) framework. Our team partners with staff to define, train, and reinforce positive behaviors that foster a safe, consistent, and supportive school environment.

FBA assessments

Our company offers the service of conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) for students who demonstrate behavioral challenges within the school setting. An FBA may be the answer for Schools who have a student(s) who have difficulty completing assignments, remaining in class, following instructions from teachers and school personnel, who make loud or inappropriate call-outs in class which is disruptive to the rest of the students, engage in aggressive physical behavior towards self, others, or school property.

FBAs consist of observations, interviews and data collection by a professional Behavior Analyst to determine the reason for which the student is engaging in the problem behavior. Behavior is analyzed and a behavior support plan is developed to assist with reducing problem behaviors and teaching appropriate replacement classroom and playground behavior.

1:1 Behavior Intervention

FMBT offers the service of providing a highly trained and qualified Behavior Interventionist (BII) to carry out the recommendations within the BSP. The BII works directly under the Behavior Analyst at the school and receives ongoing training on a weekly basis outside of the school.

Behavior Analyst Supervision

FMBT also offers the service of providing supervision to the student and teacher involved with a  behavior support plan. This supervision can occur in two different formats:

  1. Direct Supervision: Behavior Analyst provides ongoing, weekly supervision within the classroom to the 1:1 aide/behavior interventionist and student of concern
  2. Behavior Analyst Consult: The target behaviors and BSP do not require a behavior interventionist to carry out the BSP recommendations. The Behavior Analyst works directly with the teacher to provide consultation services and training
